About Us

Archway Dance Academy offers dynamic and exciting classes in classical ballet, tap, modern and contemporary dance. Our classes inspire and motivate students to develop their skills and confidence in and through movement, allowing them to express themselves through dance. We provide a disciplined yet, fun and nurturing environment for students to excel in dance. You may choose to study with us to pursue a career in the performing arts or simply attend for enjoyment and fitness. All of our students are given the opportunity to take examinations under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and to participate in performance opportunities including festivals if they wish.

The teachers at ADA are experienced ex-professional and/or fully qualified through the ISTD.

Reviews

“Miss Jemima is a remarkable teacher who has helped me grow as a dancer, her passion for dance really inspires me and keeps me motivated to do better.”

Keith Finley

“Jemima is a great teacher, making the class both challenging and fun.”

Amy, Adult Student

“Miss Jemima is a dedicated teacher who clearly loves her craft and teaches with passion. She motivates her students and even though she no longer teaches my son , she is still very much a part of his progress as she regularly checks up on him and continues to encourage him to reach his best potential. She is a clear example of a nurturing teacher , and that is indeed one of the most important aspects of what a budding dancer needs to propel and also maintain enthusiasm .”

Amy, Adult Student

“Third week for my daughter learning ballet and she is loving it. So local and convenient, Jemima and the other girls have been so friendly, helpful and professional. Fun and so reasonably priced, long may it last!”

Sally, Parent

Alicia Alonso

“A dancer should learn from all the arts. Music, poetry, painting, sculpture. The dancer must be versatile.”
